Ex-Minimart MD Dan Whitney to lead video production business at Mediablaze
Former Minimart MD Dan Whitney has joined Mediablaze to head up Tinderbox, its video production business.
Whitney spent a year as MD, and five years as a board member of ATL advertising agency The Minimart and prior to that was with the commercial division of SonyBMG MusicEntertainment working as a product manager. Three years of his career were also spent at Sanctuary Artist Management in the role of management assistant.
“We’re very pleased to have brought in someone as talented and respected as Dan, and I’m sure he’ll do a fine job of heading up Tinderbox and looking after clients across the wider Group…now’s the time to clarify our various offerings by joining up three distinct businesses into a group structure which offers a very strong proposition for brands wanting to engage consumers as media owners,” remarked Paul Button, MD of Mediablaze Group.
As well as the appointment, Mediablaze has formalised a new structure of the group which sees the business split into three arms Mediablaze Ltd, creator and publisher of content and creative for brands; Lion Digital Ltd, WordPress agency specialising in managed platforms for publishers and content agencies; and Tinderbox Video Ltd.
