The global platform for online video advertising found that Williams received 4,632 mentions on Twitter over the past week (35.8 per cent of all mentions) while the also out of the running Maria Sharapova is a close second with 4,090 (31.6 per cent).

It was found that 11,616 tweets were sent, but Laura Robson, who also went out of Wimbledon today, was not one of the top 10 most talked about.
