MediaCom Sport expands into Asia with Singapore opening led by MD Jin Wei Toh

MediaCom Sport has opened it's first Asian office, which will be led by Jin Wei Toh, previously managing director of Parallel Media Group Asia.

The WPP sports agency has opened the office in Singapore, which was established in 2011 and has since worked with clients such as Dell, Shell and Proctor & Gamble, as well as as the commercial partner for Formula E.

Moving forward, the agency will work alongside GroupM ESP across the region to ensure integration with with the GroupM network.

MediaCom Sport will work closely with GroupM’s ESP division across the region to ensure best practice and full integration across the GroupM network.

Marcus John, global head of sport at MediaCom Worldwide, described Asia as “a fantastic, growing region with a young, digitally enabled consumer audience."

He continued: "Building strong relationships with the sports they care about will enable brands to connect and engage much more powerfully than traditional advertising. Jin Wei’s success at establishing new events and new opportunities for sponsorship will ensure MediaCom Sport continues to grow rapidly."

MediaCom Sport is set to open its first office in the US and Brazil later this year and currently has offices in the UK, Russia and Germany.
