Thursday night TV – no one watching?

The overnight TV viewing figures for Thursday evening, published during Friday, showed such a significant drop in viewers that game show Hot Seat, broadcast at 5.30pm, finished the night as the sixth most watched show of the evening.

The figures will disappoint TV advertisers who normally anticipate a strong showing for Thursday programming.

The OzTAM overnight rankings showed only four of the top ten programmes topping one million viewers.

The top ten showed national and regional viewer fragmentations, with 7 News’ extended broadcast costing it audience share.

Nine News posted its biggest ausience gap on Seven News in Melbourne since September 2004.

9 TEN NEWS AT FIVE Ten 724,000

10 CATALYST ABC 581,000
