Starcom Worldwide wins Ranbaxy Healthcare media account

Following a multi-agency pitch, Ranbaxy Global Consumer Healthcare has appointed Omnicom’s Starcom Worldwide as its media agency.

Omnicom, MEC, Zo and incumbent agency Prachar all pitched for the business, with is worth more than $8m.

“Starcom showed good understanding of the OTC business and displayed a focused approach on planning and driving cost efficiencies which made us choose them as a partner in a very close pitch process,” said Brijesh Kapil, vice-president, Ranbaxy Global Consumer Healthcare.

“Our current agency Prachar has worked well during the critical journey path of our brands and we look forward to an exciting journey ahead with Starcom to take our brands to the next level,” he added.

Starcom has been tasked with delivering a multi-layered and integrated communications solution for Ranbaxy.
