Mashable announces New York Times VP Seth Rogin as new chief revenue officer

Mashable, the online news site, has announced Seth Rogin will join its leadership team in the newly created role of chief revenue officer.

Reporting directly to Mashable CEO and founder Pete Cashmore, Rogin has become responsible for handling all advertising sales, branded content and monetisation of new products.

"Seth has a long track record of monetising new products and creating sophisticated experiences for major brands across mediums,” said Pete Cashmore, CEO and founder, Mashable.

“Seth’s passion for quality editorial and vision for the next era of marketing makes him the perfect person to lead Mashable's revenue goals.”

Rogin has worked for The New York Times in various roles since 2000.

Most recently, he led the sales operations for all mobile and tablet devices and was responsible for the sales and business operations of The New York Times Magazine and T, the company’s Style Magazine, including the creation and launch of the first website for T.

“My passion is connecting brands with the most desirable audiences in creative and impactful ways,” said Rogin.
