Glidden Paint has launched a new online and print campaign developed by DDB New York, which comes as part of the brand’s multiyear ‘Glidden Gets You Going’ initiative.

Entitled ‘The Beast’, the campaign acknowledges the overwhelming task of choosing a paint colour and presents the Glidden as the solution with its curated, simplified palette of colours.

“The campaign is a great example of communicating with consumers in a very real way,” commented Rob Horton, director of consumer marketing for PPG’s Architectural Coatings business.

“’The Beast’ campaign allows us to capitalise on the way our consumers interact online. Through the use of branded assets, consumers can share how they are feeling and thinking about paint.”

The 30-second spot shows the angst felt by a consumer actually manifest into a beast.

DDB New York has leveraged the spot through social media while the print ads will run in selected outdoor sites and lifestyle publications.
