Absolut Vodka paints a Brooklyn street white as part of new campaign
Absolut recently painted a street in Brooklyn white, from walls to flowerpots, with no word of an explanation to local residents.
It has now been revealed that it is part of an outdoor art festival called Open Canvas, running until 30 June, which has asked 20 Brooklyn artists to transform the space.
Maxime Kouchnir, vice president, vodkas, for Pernod Ricard USA explained: “As a brand, we believe the future is not a given, and it’s yours to create, so it’s really about giving inspiration to people in terms of taking matters into their own hands and really being part of the creative movement.”
The event is part of Absolut’s wider Transform Today campaign that will go global in September with television, print, digital, and out-of-home elements.
