The First Direct Arena has appointed Whitby-based Tresamo as its retained agency to handle its social media presence.
Tresamo has been handling the arena’s social media activity to date and is now tasked with furthering the venue’s ambition to become the most socially engaged arena in the UK, maintaining fun, informative and responsive channels of communication between operators SMG Europe and entertainment fans.
Currently the agency has been briefed with planning the activity around Bruce Springsteen’s 24 July performance, before the September opening season which includes Elton John, Andrea Bocelli, Cirque Du Soliel and the Kaiser Chiefs.
Of the agency’s work with the arena Tony Watson director of sales and marketing at the First Direct Arena, commented: “Since the arena project was first announced, the excitement, interest and buzz online has been staggering.
