INXS give seal of approval as TV movie cast confirmed
The surviving members of INXS have given a thumbs up to the cast chosen to play their onscreen selves in the forthcoming movie charting the band’s career, ‘Never Tear Us Apart’.
Seven Network have confirmed the cast
Luke Arnold, seen in Winners & Losers, takes centre stage as late frontman Michael Hutchence.
Hugh Sheridan plays bass guitarist Garry Gary Beers, Alex Williams is Kirk Pengilly, Nicholas Masters plays Tim Farriss, Andy Ryan iss Andrew Farriss and Ido Drent plays Jon Farriss.
Veteran Damon Herriman rounds out the principal cast as manager CM Murphy.
Original INXS member Tim Farriss has been involved with pre-production of the film.
"I've been spending a lot of time with the cast and I'm amazed," he said.
"At times I actually thought Michael was there. It has been all forms of emotions for me - I'm very excited."
Production on the film starts in Melbourne this week.
