Scottish trials cyclist and YouTube star Danny MacAskill has released a video of bicycle stunts called ‘MacAskill’s Imaginate’, as a continuation of Red Bull using online clips to push the brand.

McAskill’s has already had 70 million YouTube views due to his daredevilry but this video, by Red Bull Media House production, is the second video from Red Bull and Danny MacAskill.

So far the video has received nearly 150,000 views since it went live on YouTube yesterday and has had over two million on the Red Bull website.

MacAskill’s Imaginate’ took two years to complete and sees the rider perform tricks and lines inspired by his childhood. Following on from four episodes of the ‘MacAskill’s Imaginate’ web series, the video was filmed in Kelvin Hall in Glasgow behind closed doors.

Red Bull also selected the YouTube star, who rose to prominence following the release of his ‘Inspired Bicycles’ riding film, to have his face on the Red Bull can as part of an all-round campaign from the energy drink company’s sports, marketing, advertising and sales departments.

MacAskil said: “I have had such a free-range to build the set ups that have allowed me to do the tricks that have just been in my dreams until now.”
