Full Direct Lions and Innovation Lions shortlists revealed: Dumb Ways to Die, the Happy Flag, the Oreo blackout tweet

The Direct Lions shortlist and Innovations Lions for Cannes Lions has been unveiled, with brands such as Coca-Cola, Nike and Xbox making the list.

As predicted by creative directors such as Paul Brazier, AMV BBDO ECD, Dumb Ways to Die, a public information film about train safety in Melbourne has made the shortlist for several categories.

Other contenders include Oreo for its ‘blackout’ tweet during the Super Bowl, and Scrabble’s free Wi-Fi in Paris.

The Promo and Activations Lions shortlist was also supposed to be announced at 10am this morning, but is so far not available.
