US stationary chain Office Depot has recruited One Direction to front a £64,000 anti-bullying campaign.

The ‘1D+OD Live Love Move Together Against Bullying’ campaign aims to raise $1m for anti-bullying education for US schools.

One Direction’s Niall Horan said of the campaign: “We’re really excited to partner with Office Depot and help spread the anti-bullying message with our fans and students in schools across America. And you know we’re not long out of school ourselves so we can relate. It’s a problem that’s fresh in our minds and we’re eager to raise awareness of the subject.”

The limited edition range of stationary consists of One Direction branded notepads, pens, stickers and more. Whilst a range nail varnish named after each member of the band will also be on sale as part of the initiative.

The US store will be selling the One Direction items online with international delivery available for the band’s UK fans. As well as putting their name to the campaign One Direction have also starred in a promo video that will be played during concerts on the US leg of their ‘Take Me Home’ world tour.

Horan added: “We hope the video will help raise awareness, especially since it will be played at our concerts in America.”

Since debuting online this week the video has amassed more than 90,000 views.
