“Eat It Haters”: Spoof Cheerios advert responds to racial row
A parody Cheerios advert has appeared on YouTube in response to the racist backlash the original sparked.
Last month Cheerios brought out an ad, directed by Saatchi and Saatchi New York, innocently showing a mixed-race family talking about the benefits of the cereal for the heart.
The ad, however, ignited a fierce racial backlash with people calling the family depiction “disgusting” with numerous references to Nazis, troglodytes and racial genocide, eventually forcing YouTube to close the comments section on the video.
Now, a new parody video has hit back – showing an interracial lesbian couple telling the haters to “eat it”.
