Deutsch founder David Deutsch passes away aged 84
David Deutsch, founder of advertising agency Deutsch, has passed away from natural causes aged 84. David Deutsch founded the agency as David Deutsch Associates in 1969 after having previously worked at McCann-Erickson and Ogilvy & Mather. He passed the reigns of the agency to his son Donny 20 years later, when it was renamed Deutsch Inc, and retired from advertising in 1993 to pursue the fine arts. "We are incredibly saddened by the passing of David Deutsch,” said Linda Sawyer, Deutsch CEO North America, in a statement. “He was a remarkable man with tremendous talent and a big, caring heart. As the founder of Deutsch, we proudly stand on David's shoulders each and every day. We share Donny and his family's grief."
