Former Virgin Atlantic CEO Steve Ridgway appointed non-executive chairman of StartJG

Recently retired Virgin Atlantic CEO Steve Ridgway has joined the board of agency StartJG as non-executive chairman.

Also on the re-shaped board are co-founders Mike Curtis and Darren Whittingham, JudgeGill founder Kevin Gill and StartJG directors Jen McAleer, Jonathan Cummings and Steven Forrest.

Co-founder and group CEO Mike Curtis said: "The business has moved on significantly in the past five years and we have grown both in terms of international reach and also the services we offer.

"We feel that there is much more to come and it is therefore the perfect time to reshape the Board and bring in someone with Steve’s experience to help us to unlock that potential. Steve lead Virgin Atlantic from a small airline with two aircraft to a $3bn business recognised globally as one of the most innovative and iconic in its sector. He fully understands the role that brand plays in building business value."

Ridgway will assist in the expansion into international markets as well as working on the development of the 'connected retail platform' in the UK, the technology behind the adidas virtual footwear wall.
