Mondelez signs mobile only media partnership with Google
Mondelez has announced that it has signed a global mobile media partnership with Google for an undisclosed sum, in a deal brokered by Starcom MediaVest.
On the one year deal, which will cover 16 countries across America, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific, two companies will work together on the development of m-commerce tools, including geo-location and mobile voucher services.
Mondelez vice-president of global media and consumer engagement Bonin Bough said: “Our goal is to become one of the top mobile marketers in the world, and this collaboration with Google will help us get there.
“It provides us with a competitive advantage, particularly in fast-growing emerging markets.”
The deal is not exclusive, and it is suggested that Mondelez may go on to make deals with Facebook and Twitter.
