Bids 'over a billion' for Hulu: Is Marissa Mayer set to make another swoop?

The bidders are lining up for Hulu, the online video website. Direct TV the second-biggest U.S. pay-TV service, and two other groups are reportedly offering at least $1 billion .

Mayer: Bidding for Hulu?

Yahoo is known to have made an approach and it would be a surprise if any bid by Marissa Mayer was under a billion.

Hulu is said to have at least seven buyout offers and the board is thought likely to narrow those to three or four in a few weeks.

The owners of Hulu - Walt Disney Co., News Corp. and Comcast’s NBC Universal abandoned a previous sale when the price didn't go high enough .It's not thought likely thaf this will happen this time. Hulu currently has 20 million subscribers.
