LinkedIn has conducted a spring clear out of its labyrinthine navigation system in order to streamline the experience for users.

This sees the introduction of an all-new navigation bar which prioritises the most popular functions and removes much of the chaff. The search box has also been aligned front and centre to place it at the heart of the experience

Writing on LinkedIn’s blog Amy Parnell wrote: “You may have noticed that we’ve been on a mission to simplify LinkedIn. We hope you’re enjoying a simpler and easier, yet elegant and engaging experience across your mobile and desktop experiences.”

A spate of tweaks in recent months has seen the business-oriented social network launch a new homepage, new profiles and a revamped mobile app.

The new look will be rolled out to all English speaking members over the next month.
