Auckland’s Crayon animation studio has appointed editor Billy Browne, whose prior credits include Moulin Rouge and Elizabeth: The Golden Age.

Browne joins the company which only started up last year from the partnership of XYZ’s Tim Kentley and colourist Daniel Stonehouse.

"I like Crayon because it allows me to indulge my editorial talents - the studio is very much centred around highly creative projects. It's an incredibly well set up space and I am very happy to be here," Browne said.

Browne is well remembered for posting an unusually popular internet cat video last year.
