A woman has tweeted admitting to knocking down a cyclist, with the hashtag #bloodycyclists.

The tweet and the account - @emmaway20 - have now been deleted, but the message, which read "Definitely knocked a cyclist off earlier – I have right of way he doesn’t even pay road tax” has been reported to the Norfolk Police.

The police tweeted Way telling her to report the incident is receiving praise on the site for the way it is handling the situation.

The cyclist involved, Toby Hockley, has admitted he was knocked down five miles from the finish of the Boudicca Sportive ride on Sunday. He said he had not planned to report the incident.

Way, who described herself as a trainee accountant, had also posted pictures of her speedometer at almost 100mph (above) and a picture she allegedly took at the wheel, berating the smart car driver in front of her as a ‘clueless crazy fool’.
