Jay Zasa returns to R/GA New York in new role

R/GA New York has announced that Jay Zasa has returned to the agency as SVP and executive creative director.

Zasa has been tasked with overseeing the creative integrity of R/GA’s client campaign and communication-based work across the network, he will also serve as a “connector,” coordinating the conception, creation, and delivery of campaigns and working in conjunction with department heads and R/GA group leads.

He will additionally help build out R/GA’s campaign work through recruiting, retention, and career development.

He returns to R/GA from Barbarian Group where he was an executive creative director working on campaigns for Pepsi, GE, and Samsung. Prior to this Zasa spent five years at R/GA New York where he led creative work across a number of accounts including Pepsi, Verizon, and Nokia.

Zasa will report to Nick Law, executive VP and global chief creative officer.

Law said of the appointment: “Jay is one of the sharpest creative minds in our industry. The clarity of his thinking and the power of his craft make him a great leader for our campaign teams. It’s great to have him back.”
