McGrath O’Toole, the Leeds-based creative agency has announced the departure of its CEO Martin O’Toole nearly three years after the agency was formed.

O’Toole’s departure, according to a statement by the agency, has been agreed mutually as he plans to ‘move in a different direction’.

The agency has said that it will continue to operate as normal having informed all clients, while co-founder Don McGrath will head up the company going forward.

“The past two-and-a-half years have been an unforgettable journey for myself and the team and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. I’m ridiculously proud of what we’ve achieved from a standing start – especially in the current financial climate, and with our ever-changing industry being what it is. I wish Don and the guys the very best of luck and have no doubt that the business will continue to grow from strength to strength.”

The Drum understands that there are no plans to directly replace O’Toole as CEO, with his shares having been redistributed among the remaining shareholders.
