Karmarama joins Kate Moss in advertising St Tropez to develop digital and social channels

Self-tanning product St Tropez has appointed Karmarama as its lead creative agency after the brand’s announcement of Kate Moss as its new face and body.

The Drum understands that Karmarama has been appointed without a competitive pitch to develop the brand’s global plans in key markets, while helping it invest in digital and social channels.

The appointment followed the announcement that Kate Moss would be the new face of St Tropez with the release of a naked image of the supermodel as part of a global print and social advertising campaign, not handled by the newly appointed agency.

The social media campaign will aim to encourage women to tweet when they’re #OFFTOSTTROPEZ for the ultimate tan, with one follower and a friend to win a trip to St Tropez, as well as other prizes being available.

At the time of writing no one from Karmarama had responded to The Drum’s request for a comment on the appointment.
