A new campaign to promote the Yellow Pages listings services debuted on Friday, developed by Sensis and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne .

Yes, it still exists.

The radio campaign aims to promote free online listings, and utilises...baboons.

In material accompanying the launch of the slot, it has been reported the agency said: “Given that people hear the word 'free' in marketing messages all the time, the team knew they needed to come up with a way to get across the fact that basic online Yellow Pages listings are free without people tuning out.

“So they enlisted baboons, papaya and men called Rodney to produce three spots that aim to put the punch back into selling free stuff.”

Julian Schreiber, Tom Martin, Clark Edwards and Luke Thompson were the creative team behind the slots.
