Havas Media Group has implemented the latest phase of its restructuring programme with the promotion of two CEOs from digital and specialist backgrounds.

Paul Frampton, MD of Havas Media, will be promoted to CEO of Havas Media UK whilst colleague Pedro Avery, MD of Arena UK, will take on the role of CEO Arena UK.

Both CEO’s will report directly to Havas Media Group’s current UK CEO, Mark Craze, who oversees a portfolio including AIS, Cake and Havas Sports & Entertainment.

The changes are intended to put digital and trading activities at the core of the recently rebranded group, which changed its name from MPG and Media Contacts last month.

Craze said: “This move demonstrates the Group’s new way of working and also its ambition in the UK. Promoting home grown talent and placing digital and specialist expertise at the core will future proof our business. Steve and Marc have been instrumental in coaching their chosen successors over the past year as it’s always been extremely important for all of us to ensure both companies have positive, integrated teams."

Frampton added "Havas Media is at a very exciting stage in its evolution and our agility and 'digital first' attitude means we have a unique, flexible and very modern proposition. Marc has been CEO for ten years and we have been working on this transition now for nearly two years. I consider myself to have been extremely fortunate to have been coached by two of the best in the business (Marc Mendoza and Mark Craze). I look forward to playing a pivotal role in driving the Havas Media brand forward in the UK and challenging the current media agency models."

Mark Mendoza, former CEO of Havas Media UK and Steve Booth, former CEO of Arena UK, will both step down from day-to-day running of the business with Mendoza becoming chair of Havas Media UK and Booth assisting in a transition prior to his departure on 30 June.
