Reckitt Benckiser appoints Richard Davies as director of global media

Reckitt Benckiser has announced that Richard Davies is to take the position of director of global media.

Davies was most recently at Unilever where he was responsible for delivering media services across the organisation.

He said: “I am pleased to be joining RB as it clearly understands the importance role media plays in driving business results, and rightly has a reputation as one of the leading companies in the media world. I am very excited to be joining such an innovative company at a time when the rate of change in the media world has never been greater.”

Davies has also worked on the agency side of the business, as advertising agencies including Ogilvy and JWT and media agencies such as Mindshare and Initiative.

RB’s EVP category development Heather Allen added: “Global media director is an important role in RB where global performance is underlined by the emphasis we place on innovation and marketing support for our markets and our powerbrand portfolio. Richard’s role will be fundamental in ensuring that we have the best global media strategy and infrastructure in place going forward to build on RB’s reputation for outperforming the market – across health, hygiene and home. Richard is ideally qualified for this role. We are looking forward to him joining the RB team.”

Davies will begin his role on 13 May.
