NIHR Nottingham Digestive Diseases Biomedical Research Unit (NDDBRU) has announced the appointment of The Media Group to manage their exhibit The Scarred Liver, which will be on display at the prestigious Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition.

The Scarred Liver team is made up of doctors and scientists who want to improve the effectiveness of the tests used to detect and monitor liver disease. The team has had some exciting preliminary results and through the exhibit aims to build awareness of their cutting edge research.

The NIHR NDDBRU is part of both Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Nottingham. They have appointed The Media Group to design and develop an exhibition stand and an information film to raise public awareness of the causes and dangers of liver disease and highlight the need for further research in this field.

Dr Grace Dolman, from The Scarred Liver team said: “The Media Group provided the right balance of ideas, support and expertise to help us to communicate our exciting results to a wider audience”.

Keith Daniell, managing director at The Media Group, added: “We’re delighted that the Trust has chosen us to deliver an exhibition stand and video. We have developed a number of creative ways to communicate the complex research and we’re looking forward to helping to increase the awareness of The Scarred Liver project.”

The account will be handled from the Nottingham office of The Media Group.
