DJ Tiesto is the star of the latest Acer ad, created by Mother, as part of the brand’s campaign encouraging people to explore beyond their limits.

The ad, which broke online in the UK, US, France and Germany last week, shows Tiesto’s assistant Vernon use his Ultrabook to organise the schedule for his boss during work hours, but in his free time he uses it for DJing. In the end, Vernon saves the day and gets the girl.

All media across Europe was planned and purchased by DWA.

Chris Bagnall, DWA’s managing director for Acer client services, said: “This campaign evolves the explore beyond limits Acer brand promise and takes it to a new level for 2013. We are making full use of an online environment to engage people through a variety of different platforms, formats and targeting techniques.”

Digital work for the campaign is set to follow later in the year.

Last year’s Acer campaign saw Kiefer Sutherland go back to his Jack Bauer days…to start a baking company, and Megan Fox becoming a marine biologist.
