TweetDeck has been ‘dissolved’ and struck off Companies House after directors at its parent company Twitter failed to file formal accounts.

However, this will have no impact on users of the service.

It was reported earlier this year that Twitter was facing problems with Companies House over the TweetDeck subsidiary, with a 99 day ultimatum to file accounts given in January.

The announcement comes as Twitter is set to shut down the Android, iPhone and Air versions of TweetDeck tomorrow, as it looks to focus on the desktop version.
