Glue Isobar has appointed former Jam executive Thom James and MEC’s deputy head of strategy James Caig to become head of social and head of strategy respectively.

Both will be responsible for leading the Isobar Social team, managing the delivery of social initiatives across multiple clients which include Kellogg’s, Scottish Power and Toyota.

James has been client services director at Jam for the last year, leading accounts for Next, Tesco Mobile and Glaceau vitaminwater. Previously he held a variety of senior roles at social media agency 1000 Heads.

He will head up client services at Isobar Social, reporting to CEO Penny Herriman.

Caig has worked at MEC for the past seven and a half years in several roles including business director, and most recently deputy head of strategy for clients including the Department of Health, EE and Lloyds Banking Group. He will also report to Herriman.

The roles have been created following the departure of former head of social Katie White in January.
