eReader brand Kobo has revealed it is to launch its first TV advertising campaign in the UK from Monday 13 May.

The advertising campaign entitled ‘Reader’s Passion’ includes TV, online and print advertisements and aims to recognise the people who make reading a part of their daily lives.

“Reading is something that is intrinsic to our society, to our culture, to fostering our imaginations, and challenging our minds,” said Michael Serbinis, CEO, Kobo. “The campaign celebrates readers – those most passionate about the role reading plays in our everyday lives. More than 90 per cent of our customers read every week, with the majority of them reading every day, and we hope these initiatives will inspire more people to celebrate the written word and welcome it into their homes with their families.”

Kobo worked with John St., a Toronto-based creative agency on the campaign. The eReader brand is also launching a second advertisement in Canada, the United States, Italy, Australia and Brazil to coincide with their Mother’s Day celebrations, ‘Gift of Reading’ also includes a mix of TV, online and print ads.
