Design legend Ian Anderson is hosting a series of events and Design Thinking workshops in Melbourne and Sydney to launch a major retrospective of The Designers Republic during May.

The retrospective opens on 2 May

Whilst in Melbourne, Anderson will be sharing his insights and experiences to delegates from all over the globe at agIdeas 2013.

The installation runs at the No Vacancy Gallery in Melbourne from May 2nd until May 26.

Ahead of the launch, The Designers Republic said visitors could expect “an array of large-scale work and installation which blitzes you with provocative imagery punctuated by manipulated, abstracted and questioning texts.”

“Over the past 27 years TDR has had a significant global impact on visual culture. They have extended beyond the realms of graphic design to define the visual language of dance music, electronica and the Sony PlayStation gaming generation, attracting legions of fans and influencing an entire generation of creatives worldwide,” they added.

Design Thinking workshops will be held in Melbourne and Sydney, designed to challenge the students and professionals to explore creative briefs including Impossible Branding and Narrative in Design.
