Tribal DDB London has announced the appointment of Chris Baylis as executive creative director and global digital and creative director of the Volkswagen account.

Baylis, who joins from Tribal DDB Amsterdam, will begin his new role in May.

Tom Roberts, managing director at Tribal DDB, said: “I am delighted to have Chris on board. His creative reputation and gift for producing effective, award-winning work is a rare talent. He is an ideas man first and foremost and he complements that with a deep understanding of the ever-changing digital environment and the potential it offers our clients. He will be a fantastic addition to the team and his appointment is a commitment to our ambition to be the best digital agency in London.”

In his new role, Baylis will work closely with Roberts, as well as head of strategy and user experience, Phil Dearson.
