15 UK digital sports channels sign up to new TV sales house Media15

Media 15, the television sales house and broadcast consultancy run by ex-Granada TV executive Dominic Matterson and former GMTV sales director Mike Gull, has been appointed to handle a number of UK digital sports channels.

In total 15 sports TV stations have appointed Media 15, Matterson commented: “Digital television is a well-established part of the UK broadcast picture and one that both advertisers and media agencies take very seriously. With new developments like Local TV now well underway we see a bright future for digital stations and, we believe, Media15.”

The channels now represented by Media 15 include boxing events channel Boxnation; 24 hour topical sports news, analysis, discussion and debate channel Sports Tonight Live; Premier Sports which has rights to the likes of Top 14 French Rugby and English & Australian Rugby League; horse racing channel Racing UK; Celtic TV; Racing Post Greyhound TV and PrimeTime.

Matterson added: “The key is to create a compelling case for each station and, where possible, packages which can deliver a big and attractive audience, as we are doing with our sports channels. Often this means advising on content as well as sales strategies. Advertisers now have a credible alternative to Sky when looking for audiences across a variety of sports.”
