Blipfoto appoints MediaCom Edinburgh for media account

Blipfoto has announced the appointment of Mediacom Edinburgh as it looks to launch its first advertising campaign, featuring the new positioning 'Save your life'.

The new positioning looks to promote the fact that by sharing moments of your life on Blipfoto, they will never be forgotten.

Joe Tree, founder and CEO of Blipfoto, said: “We are delighted to be working with Mediacom on our first advertising campaign and in particular on developing an inventive digital marketing strategy which will encourage people to join the Blipfoto community."

David Shearer, managing director of MediaCom Edinburgh, added: “We’re really pleased that Blipfoto has chosen us to handle its media planning and buying. We’re looking forward to applying our expertise in digital media to help Blipfoto reach what we believe is its very great potential.”

Creative for the advertising campaign is set to be handled by Story, and will see the campaign launch in digital channels including Youtube, Facebook and Twitter alongside mobile and viral seeding activity.
