Respect MP George Galloway is continuing his campaign of disrespect toward Margaret Thatcher by launching a bitter tirade against the former PM in the media.

In typically forthright fashion Galloway popped up on Sky News to state that Thatcher had done ‘nothing’ for women in politics and ‘acted as the most wicked man might have acted.’

Galloway also took umbrage at the £10m funeral bill being met by the UK government, suggesting instead that a sponsor ought be sought to spare the public purse.

The MP roared: “The Thatcherite mentality would dictate that the funeral should be sponsored, Burger King can stick their logo on the hearse and pay for the whole thing.

"I don’t want the public to be forced to pay for something that is a private and political party affair."

Not content with merely bad mouthing tomorrow’s ceremony Galloway is intent on disrupting proceedings by shouting ‘Object’ at a motion to withdraw Prime Minister’s Questions, forcing it to proceed as normal or a debate to be held.
