Google has released a person finding toolto help people attempt to locate friends and loved ones following two explosions in Boston in the final stages of the city's marathon.

The person finder is split into two sections 'I'm looking for someone' which requires that the user insert the person's name that they are seeking, while the second field 'I have information about someone' allows users to provide information of that person for other users to find.

A third explosion is said to have gone off at a nearby library soon after the initial explosions.

At the time of writing two people were officially reported to have died with over fifty injured, although word is that the injury and death toll are set to rise.

President Obama has spoken from the White House, admitting that the culprits are unknown at this time.
