Golfer Justin Rose has become the latest in a number of brand ambassadors announced by British Airways in the last fortnight.

Ambassador: Rose will promote global BA activities

The three-year deal will involve personal appearance from Rose, supporting the brand's global marketing activities, as well as supporting the airline's charity partnership with Comic Relief, Flying Start.

BA unveiled Myleene Klass standing in a bikini to launch its summer schedule at the end of last month, followed by Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Sherzinger at the beginning of April promoting its first class service to Moscow.

Model Georgie May Jagger was the face of a promotional event just days later, celebrating BA's history of UK-Australia flights.

Rose, who has won four times on golf's PGA Tour and has five career titles on the European Tour, said: "I'm delighted to be working with British Airways. Golf takes me all over the world and as an athlete it's really important to arrive feeling refreshed and ready to compete."

BA head of marketing, Abigail Comber, added: "We have a long standing history in supporting British sporting talent and I'm pleased that we are able to continue this through our partnership with Justin. We look forward to working with him."

The airliner offers golf breaks in 80 resorts and 500 golf hotels to its customers.
