Last Thursday was all about Pepsi and Beyoncé, this Thursday it’s Diet Coke and Taylor Swift’s turn as the soft drinks giant unveils Miss Swift’s debut ad during tonight’s US airing of ‘American Idol’.

The TV ad “Music that Moves” was filmed in Nashville and features performances by Swift fans singing and dancing along with the Grammy-winning star as she pens her latest single ’22’. Throughout the ad Swift can be seen enjoying the advertised beverage.

The TV spot will be supported in the states by print and digital ads featuring Swift which will run from this spring. As part of the marketing activity Diet Coke is also offering fans access to Swift via social media as well as in-person and retail experience during her worldwide arena tour.

“Taylor is a true artist, deeply involved in the full creative process, from writing to production to release,” said Stuart Kronauge, general manager, Sparkling Beverages, Coca-Cola North America.

“The ‘Music That Moves’ spot shows Taylor in her natural element – penning lyrics that one day will speak volumes to millions of fans the world over…all while sipping on a Diet Coke. The commercial serves as a peek behind the curtain at an extraordinary day in the life of a true American superstar.”
