The Wensleydale Creamery announces sponsorship deal with Yorkshire County Cricket Club

The Wensleydale Creamery has today announced that it will become the official partner of Yorkshire County Cricket Club until 2016.

The cheesemaker will hold branding rights for tickets, merchandise and have a prominent sponsor board; as well as sampling and its logo displayed on the side’s and back of the players’ shirts in all forms of cricket.

Andy Dawson, commercial director at Yorkshire County Cricket Club, said: “We are delighted to sign a partnership with a well-known, international brand that stands for Yorkshire authenticity and quality. We look forward to working with The Wensleydale Creamery team, in our historic 150th anniversary.”

The deal will become part of a major marketing and PR campaign by The Wensleydale Creamery in Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s 150th anniversary season.

David Hartley, managing director of The Wensleydale Creamery, said: “We are proud of our Yorkshire heritage and see our new partnership with Yorkshire County Cricket Club as a perfect fit for the brand.
