YouTube has topped this week's Viral Video Chart with its own video announcing that the site will be shutting down and no longer accepting new uploads.

But fear not lovers of Harlem Shakes and Gangnam parodies, YouTube's shock announcement (shared more than 100,000 times) is just one of several April Fools' Day pranks to feature in this week's Brand Chart.

"We are so close to the end," Tom Liston, communications director at YouTube, says in the brilliant parody. "Tonight at midnight, YouTube.com will no longer be accepting entries. After eight amazing years, it's finally time to review everything that has been uploaded to our site and begin the process of selecting a winner."

Google also got in on the act with its 'smell-o-version' search and Scope introduced us to the delightful sounding bacon mouthwash. Yum.

The charts are compiled with the Viral Ad Network and are based on the number of shares each video has received on social media over the last seven days.
