Reality TV sensations ‘The Kardashians’ may be suing The Ford Motor Company for what they have described as a “disgusting and offensive” ad.

The illustrated advert depicts Kim, Khloe and Kourtney bound and gagged in the trunk of a Ford Figo, with Paris Hilton winking from the front passenger seat.

Ford has since profusely apologised, releasing a statement saying it was the result of, “Individuals acting without proper oversight”.

The Kardashians however have refused to accept the apology and have released a statement explained that they are considering legal action: “It is unacceptable that Ford would align itself with an ad agency that would so carelessly release these ads. The Kardashians do not take this lightly and they are exploring all of their legal options.”

The advert is similar to another which depicted former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi and some scantily clad ladies tied up in the boot, to highlight the space available.

The creative team behind the campaign at JWT India have lost their jobs as a result of the controversy.
