Jonathan Lyon named global director of strategic insight at LBi

Former-Wunderman head of strategic insight Jonathan Lyon has been announced as the new global director of strategic insight at global marketing and technology agency LBi.

Lyon has now been briefed with developing and leading a global framework for insight discovery, IP and thought-leadership. The newly created role sees Lyon working alongside LBi’s strategy, analytics and technology teams to develop a global insight proposition building on the What’s Next… - LBi’s promise to help companies understand what’s next for their business and taken them there - methodology.He will be based in LBi’s London office, reporting to chief strategy officer Alan Davies.

Of the appointment Davies commented: “I’m extremely pleased to be able to welcome Jonathan to the team. His extensive strategic experience and strong analytical background will help us to define and build an industry-leading insight proposition that will help us to deliver Real Magic for our clients.”

Prior to working with Wunderman, Lyon was involved in the set-up of a number of social media and web 2.0 start-ups, he has also worked as a consultant at brand marketing agencies in the UK and North America, beginning his career with positions at the likes of CIA Mediaedge (now MEC) and MediaVest.

Lyon added: “I’m excited to be joining an agency which has insight at its core, and to be able to work with clients to help deliver tangible business advantage.”
