Fitness First has appointed digital agency Tribal DDB as its global strategic digital partner.

Tribal DDB won the account without a pitch and will be working alongside the fitness brand to develop its long-term digital strategy in addition to delivering short term digital wins.

The agency’s work has encompassed delivering a digital ecosystem, streamlining the online acquisition process and creating a richer brand experience both within and outside of the gym environment.

The global brief includes all of Fitness First’s markets, the largest of which are: the UK, Germany, Australia, and Asia.

Tom Roberts, managing director at Tribal DDB, said: “It is fantastic to be involved at such a pivotal time for Fitness First. The digital vision we develop will contribute significantly towards delivering their global marketing ambitions, while provide a seamless user experience across every platform.”

David Langridge, group marketing director at Fitness First, added: “We were impressed with how Tribal DDB understood and interpreted our vision, and we look forward to the team challenging and supporting us in providing Fitness First members with a 21st century service that combines their gym experiences with their everyday lives.”
