Asda in talks to buy HMV brand
It has been suggested that Asda is in talks with administrator Deloitte to put together a bid for the HMV brand.
According to The Sun, Asda is looking to buy the business itself, not just take over some of the stores to turn them into supermarkets.
In January, Hilco bought over HMV’s debt.
Over 100 HMV stores have already closed, and it has been suggested that a deal for the remaining stores needs to be made before the end of the month.
