Superdrug has announced plans to roll out free wi-fi in stores, as well as interactive in-store radio, as part of its plans to increase engagement with customers.

According to Retail Week, consumers will be able to access the wi-fi in all the stores by the end of 2013.

Matt Walburn, Superdrug marketing director, said: “We know how trend conscious our customers are and wi-fi will allow them to go online to gain instant inspiration.

“The new technology will add an extra element of interaction and fun for customers.”

The beauty store is also set to introduce a live radio station, where customers can choose music and make comments through social media.
