Brands including eBay, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Weve have joined the speaker line-up for the Internet Advertising Bureau’s (IAB’s) forthcoming Mobile Engage event.

The event, for which The Drum is media partner, takes place on Thursday 16 May at the Mermaid Centre at Blackfriars, London.

A range of experts from across the mobile industry will gather to discuss topics including cross-device platforms and social media on the move.

Meanwhile brands such as mobile wallet and mobile marketing joint venture Weve and eBay will talk about the acceleration and developments of mobile commerce and wallet services in the UK.

Other topics will span dual-screening, mobile privacy, and real-time advertising will also feature during the event which is sponsored by Videology.

IAB director of mobile and operations, Jon Mew said: “With consumers increasingly using mobile devices across every aspect of their lives, it’s really important to ensure brands are with them on this journey. Mobile Engage will provide marketers with the opportunity to hear from some of the best in the industry and learn a huge amount. We’re proud to say that this event has now become a not-to-be-missed industry mainstay.”

Mobile advertising spend jumped 132 per cent to £181.5 million in the first half of last year according to the PwC Digital Ad Spend Report.
