Social software company Expion has retained PR and digital communications agency Capella PR for the UK launch of its social media management software.

The appointment sees Capella PR tasked with kicking off the campaign at the forthcoming Social Media World Forum in London on 18 March, raising awareness of Expion among social media and marketing managers within brands and digital agencies.

“The UK has a vibrant social media scene and some of world’s top marketers – Capella demonstrated at pitch that its team could help connect us into this world to make our UK launch a huge success,” commented Peter Heffring, chief executive officer at Expion.

The software ensures the efficient management of social media accounts, ensuring protection for brands and their capital invested in social campaigns. US clients include Coca-Cola, Chrysler, Hilton and Volvo. The software aims to prevent hacks on social media accounts like the recent HMV and Burger King break-ins.

Gareth Thomas, founder of Capella PR, added: "Expion's products have proven themselves within some of America's biggest brands and are set to make a huge impact on the way social campaigns are managed in the UK. We can’t wait to get started on what is a really exciting brief in a really hot area.”
