Mother, in collaboration with a group of Hackney based creative teams, is launching Hackney House Austin at the SXSW Interactive festival.

The 4,000sq/ft pop-up space will launch this Friday at 4pm and will host a programme of events spanning art, design, music and film over four days.

Highlights of the event include artist Daniel Hirschmann who will be collaborating with Acer to host a series of design workshops and the US debut of MiniBar, the UK’s longest-running tech meet up.

Dylan Williams, partner, Mother London, said: "Mother has been in East London for 15 years now. In that time we've been benefited hugely as the technology cluster has blossomed around us. A chance to take this story to SXSW as part of Hackney House Austin was too good to miss. Be that showcasing how a design talent like Daniel Hirschmann is using our Acer clients products, or hosting a one-off MiniBar, our tech start-up meet, or just having a beer with brilliant people, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to help further the friendship that’s developing between Hackney and Austin. We can't wait."
